Filling Begins

Rock material has been brought and placed on the site today. Same work will continue tomorrow.

By the end of the day, we’ve made good progress on the first wall/ledge. We’re waiting for holidays to end around here so we will receive our shipment of coping then it will be onto concrete. Look for new pictures to come soon.

Stockholm

A car load of us went to Stockholm saturady under rainy to sunny skies. It is about a two hour drive from here (150 km each way). A little longer than the train, but in between the five of us much cheaper, plus we had a chance to chose our own schedule (the latest train from Stockholm to Avesta leaves at around 17:45). While there, we managed to get a little skate in, during a dry period, at the outdoor bowl and a quick tour of the indoor tight concrete mini-ramp in the skate shop next door.

Here is one view of the construction site and HERE is another. Things are starting to shape up a bit as you can see. We’re planning to be in full swing, next week. We’ll also have two additonal workers arriving (Dave and Chooky, both Australian, both part of the Stapelbädds crew).

Today we quit work a little early as plumbing is beginning to be laid.
