One day closer to completion

And more new concrete on the ground.

It started out pretty cold this morning, but by mid-day it warmed up quite beautifully under clear skies. Not bad for another day the weatherman called for rain.

  1. well if this is the picture refered to in the earlier comments I can’t really say that I see the improvement from this angle. It still seems there’s no room for landing a boardslide if you’re attacking the rail from the right side.. and as said before, just wondering if this is the final concept or if there’s more building to do.. I am still very greatful for this skate park..

  2. Yes, I think I see what you are saying now. You say that with this rail you can only attack it from one side. Is that correct?
If so, that is because that is how it was designed and planned, just like is common in the streets (or as well in bowls). That is skateboarding and that is the obstacle to overcome. Not much in life is all that equal.

  3. yes that’s precisely what i’m saying. that’s too bad that just that part turned out that way since i’m skating goofy and will only be able to do fs boardslides on that rail.. but the park in general seems very nice and you have absolutely done a wonderful job and I couldn’t be more greatful for the park..

  4. Like I said, that’s skateboarding. You will probably get pretty good with the fs boardslide in no time, besides it will make you try more. If you want to try a bs boardslide start from the bottom and work your way up the rail. Another option would be to oliie over the rail like a disaster and then you’ll be going bs down the rail.

Imagine you are a surfer and can only surf backhand (or backside), it happens all the time.

It is only one rail in the park of many.

  5. well, I see that like a bit of poor design. Theres reallyno reason to place a rail like that in a park and then talking about equality in life and so on is just ****** up. 2 meter more concret on the other side if it not to much space to place the rail in the middle is not so much to talk about. Its just poor design. And how can you compare whit surfing? that has to do with nature. not designers and builders.

Dont take it wrong, i really like the design overall, its good to se designers that really integrates all kind of skateboarding in ONE park whitout splitting them up to much. Im just turning againt your deffensive talking about that little “mistake” in the design.

  7. Yeah, I’ll try to get my ass on the train and check out the park some day soon. Is it ok to skate some parts of the park or will I get my ass kicked by angry construction workers?

  8. You`ll get your ass kicked. Mommo is not working on this project otherwise a case of beers would be enough for a quik skate.
